  • Payment Processing: Payment information is shared with Stripe to process your transactions securely.
  • AI Document Processing: Documents may be processed using AI tools to assist with drafting and analysis (see "AI Processing" below). These tools are subject to confidentiality protections.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to comply with legal process.

AI Processing of Documents

JD Woods Law PLC uses artificial intelligence tools to assist with legal research, document drafting, and analysis. When your documents are processed using these tools:

  • AI tools are vetted for data privacy and security before use in our practice.
  • These tools do not retain or store your documents after processing is complete.
  • Your data is not used to train AI models.
  • All AI-assisted work is reviewed by a licensed Florida attorney before delivery.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. Client documents are stored using industry-standard security measures. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we strive to protect your information using commercially reasonable means.

Data Retention

Client files and records are retained in accordance with The Florida Bar's requirements for record keeping. Generally, client files are retained for a minimum of six (6) years after the matter closes. At the conclusion of the retention period, client files are permanently destroyed using secure data erasure methods that meet Department of Defense standards, ensuring no recoverable data remains. Certain records may be retained longer if required by law or if the matter warrants extended retention.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to our legal and professional retention obligations.

Cookies & Analytics

JD Woods Law PLC uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics platform. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track visitors across websites. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous. We do not use any other tracking cookies or third-party analytics services.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
